The department of Languages conducted the Investiture Ceremony of the Students Literary Club Athena for the current academic year on 16 August 2019. Dr. Akkara Sherine, Head Languages & Rankings apprised the audience regarding the importance of the literary club to promote the language skills, theatrical skills and competitive spirit. She appreciated the Staff coordinators Ms. Sonu Joseph and Ms. Beulah Catherine, Assistant Professors, Dept of Languages and Athena Club students who coordinated for the events in the previous academic year. The students were applauded for their performance in theater plays during the World Theatre Day celebration and also their efforts to coordinate for the literary events. She also thanked Dr. Ramesh Babu, Head, School of Science and Humanities for rendering his support to English department in all its endeavours. Later, Dr. Ramesh Babu addressed the audience and encouraged students to participate in the club activities and external events. During the investiture ceremony, the office bearers were assigned specific posts and took oaths to implement activities throughout the year.
