This memorable journey organized by HITS enabled 25 MBA students and me to visit places like American University in Dubai, Modul University Dubai,NakheelProperties, Standard Carpet Factory, BurjKhalifa, Global Village, Desert Safari and the Dubai city. The entire span of our trip lasted from 29th November to 3rd December 2018.

We began our first trip to American University, Dubai. The beautiful campus and world class infrastructure of the American University was the cynosure of all eyes for the group’s visit. Professor Ms. Aisha, Head- Admissions presented us a session on the strategies adopted by the American Universityfor attracting foreign students and career opportunities for MBA students in Dubai.We then visited the Nakheel Properties where presentation on construction work they were involved at was given. We were briefedabout the construction of Palm Jumeria, a man-made island and how construction was carried out and the way it transformed the map of UAE..Prof. Mr. Yaswanth Gowda, HOD, School and Agents Outreach Department of Modul University, Dubai presented us a session on Modul University Dubai campus and also the impact of tourism and real estate for Dubai’s economy.We began our 2nd day to visit BurjKhalifa, the world’s tallest building developed by Emaar properties. We were really thrilled to be on the 124th floor of BurjKhalifato see the city’s landscape, and the moment really mesmerized us.

Next, we went to Global Village, and had an exposure to the culture, arts and traditions of about 50 odd countries.Desert safari, roller coaster ride, camel ride, buggy ride and the cultural shows of UAE in the middle of the desert all kept us thrilled.We went to BurjAl Arab beach and spent a few minutes over there. Then we went to Palm Jumeriaand trotted on the edge of the island. From PalmJumeria we moved on to the king’s palace. We went to Standard Carpets at Dubai Industrial park. We had an interactive session with Mr. KrishRoopchand, HR Manager and the Marketing Manager.

We left Dubai with many heart-warming memories to cherish for the rest of our life. We are very thankful to HITS as well the universities and industries based in Dubaifor giving us a memorable tour around Dubai as part of our International study tour.
