International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women 2022

The Office of Student Affairs in association with the School of Law,HITSorganised an awareness program in connection with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November 2022. The Chief Guest for the event was Prof. Dr.Reddivari Revathi. She enlightened the audience on the importance of preventing violence against women and legal consequences. The main outcomes of the program included the techniques and strategy for eliminating violence against woman, various law which are applicable to violence against woman, the Protection of woman in the society etc.

The event commenced with the opening prayer offered by Rev.Justin Jose, Student Chaplain, HITS. Dr.Jessy Rooby, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, delivered the welcome address and Dr.S.N Sridhara, Vice Chancellor delivered the presidential address.The Chief Guest for the event was introduced to the audience by Dr.GeniPhilipose, Assistant Professor, SOL wherein the current and previous positions she has decorated,her education qualifications along with her awards and accoladeswere highlighted.

Ms.Beena James,Head Student Affairs (i/c) proposed the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to the Management,Chief Guest,The event concluded with the national anthem.a
