On 27th of April 2023, a group of 24 students along with two staff members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering visited IBM Company located in Domlur, Bengaluru. The visit aimed to provide students with an understanding of the IT industry operating process and software development practices implemented by the company.
IBM, short for International Business Machines Corporation, is an American multinational technology company that specializes in developing and manufacturing computer hardware, middleware, and software, as well as providing hosting and consulting services. IBM's products and services are used in a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Some of its most well-known products include the IBM PC, the IBM Watson AI system, and the IBM zSeries mainframe computers.
Upon arriving at the company, the group was greeted by Ms. Sangeetha A of Trans Neuron and Mr. Chidananda of IBM who gave a briefing about the company and its products and services. Lecture was delivered to the students in two sessions:

The industrial visit to IBM was an enriching experience for the students, providing them with practical knowledge of the IT production process and industrial practices implemented by the company. The visit helped students understand the importance of selecting the right type of process for software development and a deep insight into cyber security and its career opportunities. Overall, the visit was a great success, and the students were grateful for the opportunity and for the sincere and laborious efforts taken by Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean E&T, Dr. Thanga Kumar, HoD-CSE, Ms. Sangeetha Trans Neuron, Mr. Viquaruddin, IBM, and Dr. Kathiravan, IBM Coordinator-CSE, HITS.
