The Food Safety Club has been established by the Department of Food Technology. The inauguration of the Club was held on 22 February 2023 at the Bay Range Campus. The chief guest was Mrs. Karpagavalli, Director, Soultum, Founding Partner of Inka Nutrition, Certified Sports Nutritionist and Nutrition Consultant. She shared her expertise on food safety measures. The presidential address and the inaugural speech were delivered by Pon Ramalingam, Registrar and Dr. David T. Easow, Head of School of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences respectively. Dr. T. Sirpriya, Head (i/c) welcomed the audience and Ms. Sarah Priscilla S, Assistant Professor and Club Co-ordinator, presented the overview of the activities of the Club. The dignitaries unveiled the logo the Club and the Staff Coordinator, Ms. Sarah Priscilla and the student coordinators, Ms. Sheflin Smilee, II B.Sc. Food Technology and Mr. Ajmal Ali, I B.Sc. Food Technology were presented badges as a mark of responsibility and dedication towards the club. The oath on Food Safety was administered by Mrs. Malathy, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Adeyeye Samuel Ayofemi Olalekan, Associate Professor, Department of Food Technology. The event concluded with National Anthem.
