HITSMUN'24, a three-day international event hosted by Hindustan University, brought together a diverse group of 270 plus participants from across India. Held from 4-6 2024, the event provided a platform for both school and college students to connect, collaborate, and showcase their talents.
HISTMUN offered a diverse range of committees for delegates to engage with, providing unique perspectives on global issues. From the serious matters discussed in the UNHRC and UNSC to the more specialised topics explored in AIPPM, DISEC, BCD, ECOSOC, and IPC, delegates had ample opportunities to delve into their areas of interest. The committee sessions took place across the picturesque Hindustan campus, with venues such as Andromeda Hall, Language Labs, KS Murthy Hall, MGR Hall, and Padur Halls providing fitting backdrops for the intense diplomatic discussions. Each location offered a distinct atmosphere, contributing to the overall experience of the event.
The inauguration of HITSMUN’24 was held with great grandeur in Andromeda Hall, where 273 enthusiastic delegates gathered to partake in the conference. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. M.S. Sai, the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles. His inspiring and motivational speech, coupled with his unique sense of humour, captivated the young audience Mr. Sai emphasized the importance of critical thinking for personal and societal growth. He stressed that progress is impossible without thoughtful individuals.
The event was judged by a talented Executive Board with a wealth of experience, ensuring that delegates were evaluated fairly and objectively. HISTMUN truly offered a platform that brought together the best of MUN talent. Delegates had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, develop their diplomatic skills, and make a lasting impact on the global stage.
The Delegation of VIT-V claimed the prestigious 1st place, followed by Delegation of SSN emerging as the Runner Up winners of HITSMUN’24. The coveted awards were presented by the Vice Chancellor, Col. (Hon) Dr. S.N Sridhara.
