The Department of Food Technology which is one of the vibrant departments of School of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences offers UG and PG programmes. The Department has signed an MOU with Aachi Group of Foods specifically for Scientific Food Testing Services (P) Ltd, it is aimed to have students’ internship, project and research collaborations them thereby enhancing the skill set of students.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Sciences (HITS) and Aachi Group of Foods have signed an MoU today in realising this dream, with the mutual co-operation of both the institutions, with HITS being the official training partner to foster training to Food Technology professionals on these lines. Further, the co-operation will also touch on the industrial attachment for students and comprehensive and accurate tests for a large variety of food products for research.
The MoU was signed by HITS Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan and Dr. Gnanavendhan, Technical Director, Aachi Group of Foods. From HITS, Dean-Research, Dr. J. M. Mathana, and the Head of School of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences, Dr. David T. Easow participated in the function. The Assistant General Manager – Technical, Dr. R. Nagaraj from Aachi Group of Foods also took part in the ceremony.
