Hackathon

The Department of Information Technology organised an internal “Hackathon” on 21 March 2022 for shortlisting the idea submission for the Smart India Hackathon 2022. Dr. Ceronmani Sharmila, Head - Dept. of Information Technology welcomed the gathering. Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean - Engineering & Technology delivered the inaugural address. Dr. E. Bhaskaran, Additional Director, EDII, Govt. of TN presided over the event as the Chief Guest and gave an informative speech about the importance of Hackathons and how participants can be supported. Dr. Shaik Javed Parvez, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, delivered the vote of thanks.

A total of 23 teams comprising 138 students across different departments participated in the event, and presented their idea to the External Jury Panels in online mode (MS Teams) and Internal Jury Panels in offline mode. Teams were questioned based on the rubrics provided in the guidelines and adviced on how to make their projects better.
