Hack-O-HITS

Department of Computer Applications organized “HACK-O-HITS” an Inter Institution Innovation Challenge: IMAGINE, BUILD, COMPLETE on 13 March 2023. The hackathon competition aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and creativity. Twenty-four teams participated in the event from various institutions such as: SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Panimalar Engineering College, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, A.M. Jain College, etc, The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. S. Sudhakar DDG Technology, Department of Telecommunications, Chennai. In his speech, Mr. Sudhakar elaborated the recent developments in the field of modern technology

The participants displayed their inventive and futuristic projects based on emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, E-waste Management, Game Based Learning and competed for an opportunity to win cash prizes and other incentives. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. R. Maruthi, Head, Department of Computer Applications. She briefed the audience about the competition. The special address was delivered by Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (E&T) who inspired the students with her informative speech. The HACK-O-HITS event was seamlessly organized by the event coordinators Ms. Sherin Eliyas, Assistant Professor; Dr. Sathish Kumar, Assistant Professor; Dr. Angelin Benitta Assistant Professor; and Mr. France K. Assistant Professor. The event was sponsored by the student alumni, HITS of Batch 2019-2022
