Report on GYAN DISHA 2025 – Project Expo of Final Year Students
The GYAN DISHA 2025, a distinguished Project Expo showcasing the innovative work of final-year students, as well as remarkable projects from earlier years, was successfully held on 29th March 2025 at MGR Hall, HITS. The event was jointly organized by the Hindustan Alumni Association (HITSAA), HTBI, and the Student Affairs Department.

Objective of the Event: The primary objective of GYAN DISHA 2025 was to identify promising projects with high potential for incubation, followed by further funding and development through the Bay Range Innovation and Incubation Cell (BRIIC).
Another significant aspect of the event was the upcoming Venture Vibes, a Shark Tank-style event, scheduled for 26th April 2025 at the HITS campus. This event will provide further exposure and investment opportunities to the top projects.
Significance of the event: The core motto of the event was to foster interaction between Alumni and Students, creating an opportunity for placement synergies, career guidance, spot recruitments, patent filings, and government funding for entrepreneurial initiatives.
The event also aimed to establish a strong bond between alumni, the alma mater, and current students, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of both the institution and its fraternity.
Awards:
The event was an immense success, providing invaluable opportunities for students to showcase their innovations while building strong connections with alumni and industry leaders, laying the foundation for future collaborations and opportunities.
Event Report:
Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean (E&T), delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to the management, Vice Chancellor, alumni leaders, faculty, and students. She congratulated all participants for their impressive project exhibits.
The Vice Chancellor then delivered a special address, officially inaugurating Gyan Disha 2025 for student competitors. He emphasized the importance of incubating innovative ideas and filing patents to protect intellectual property.
Mr. T. K. Elamaran, President of HITSAA, addressed the gathering on behalf of the Alumni Association. He assured that efforts would be made to bring corporate investors to support students' innovations.
The valedictory session commenced at 2:30 PM, during which first, second, and third prizes, along with special awards, were presented to the winning students.
Dr. K. S. Shaji, Dean (OSA), congratulated the winners and all participants, encouraging them to take their ideas further by applying for Venture Vibes.
Finally, Dr. K. Sakthidasan, Head of HTBI, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants. Ms. Pragatha V S, Dy. Registrar (Coordinator -HITSAA) organized the whole event with Department alumni coordinators.
