Dr, KCG Verghese Higher Education Leadership Management Center(HELM) and HITS Alumni Association jointly organized a Guest Lecture on Women and Sustainable Development Goals on 23 November 2022. The session was led by HITS Alumnus (ECE-1990) Ms. Usha B. Vice President, Balaji Group, Founder & MD, Inspirerz Ltd.Ms. Usha, emphasized on three important life lessons: consistency in duty; perseverance in achieving goals; and respecting human values. She also insisted on maintaining cordial relationship with everyone for a successful life.The Chief Guest assured to execute SDG activities through HITS students in future. The lecture was captivating and students were motivated by the speaker’s thoughts and ideas.
Dr.Akkara Sherine, Professor & Head – HELM Center delivered the welcome address.She pointed out to the successful women who are into sustainable development of the nation just like the alumni of HITS. Dr. A.L.Vallikannu, Head, Department of ECE introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. She also added the importance of imbibing sustainable development goals as a student.The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Pragatha V S, Dy. Reg. (Coordinator –HITSAA).The lecture was attended by the first year students of UG and PG.
