The Department of Information Technology conducted a guest lecture on Devops and Cloud Computing Trendson 12October 2022. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Srikrishnan Kalyanasundaram, Practice Head, Cloud& DevOps, Avasoft- Chennai and Mr.Parthiban Sampath, Architect Cloud & DevOps, Avasoft- Chennai
Mr. Srikrishnan Kalyanasundaram started the session1 with a brief introduction on Cloud Computing and DevOps. The presentation provided an insight on “cloud computing and DevOps" space, which focuses on fundamental infrastructure and operational patterns, the realization of patterns in technology frameworks, and the design processes and skills that a software architect or engineer must cultivate.
The second session was handled by Mr. Parthiban Sampath who explained the process to automate the application development life cycle on secure and robust cloud infrastructure. The guest lecture was even more interesting with the examples he gave related to each topic. The resource person illustratedthat the development practice would be useful for full cloud platform. Finally, he highlighted the market demand and opportunities for Cloud Engineer/Architect as freshers. The session was very interactive and many of the participants actively interacted with the guest speaker. All the questions were answered by the speaker and he highly appreciated students' participation.Overall 80 students participated and benefited through the event.
