GUEST LECTURE ON “ADVANCEMENTS IN CRYOGENIC SYSTEMS”
A Guest lecture was conducted on 13/03/2018 in Padur Hall 1 about “Advancements in cryogenic systems” by school of Aeronautical Sciences for third year Aerospace Students. Padmashri V. Gnana Gandhi (Rtd) Associate director Isro and Director of Cryogenic Systems was the resource person for the guest lecture. The seminar began with a short introduction on the eminent speaker by Prof. Dr. Dilip. A. Shah, Head of Department, School of Aeronautical Sciences, who later facilitated the speaker with a shawl and Memento. Mr. Gnana Gandhi initiated his speech about the humble beginning of the ISRO organization and his contributions to the same. He also briefed about the basics of solid and liquid propulsion technologies and the need for a cryogenic systems. The advanced techniques followed to manufacture cryogenic Engines was also shared to the students. He concluded by encouraging students to improve the cryogenic and propulsion technology. The speech then broke into an interactive session between the students and guest. Finally the lecture ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mr. Murugesan. The faculty coordinators of the event Mr. Paulson, Mr. Prem Anand, Mr. Senbagan, Mr. Joshua were also presented throughout the event and made necessary arrangements.
