An Awareness Campaign and Rally for “Pollution Free Green Diwali” was organized on 2nd November 2018. Diwali, one of the popularly celebrated events in India is known for its colours—be it the lights each homes are artistically decorated with or the play of crackers on streets emitting vibrant colour sparks and of course, pollutants with thunderous noise. Amidst joy shared during this occasion, it is the bound duty of us to realize what harm are we causing to our air. Students of HITS acknowledged the need to lend hands in preserving Mother Nature from hazardous chemicals discarded on her. They actively partook in the awareness campaign and rally favouring “Pollution Free Green Diwali” and voiced a bold “Yes to Green Diwali!” Much appreciations to our young minds for their civic responsibility!
