German Unity Day Celebration
The German Unity Day celebration was held on October 10 2022 at Hyatt Regency Chennai. The highlight of the celebration was students of HITS performed an Indian Classical Dance and 2 German Dance wearing German Costume in the presence of Consul General Mrs. Michaela Küchler, Thiru Thangam Thennarasu, Industry Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu and dignitaries of diplomatic and industrial circles. The performance of the students of HITS was well appreciated by all. German Unity Day is celebrated to commemorate the nation’s reunification in the year 1990. Consul General Mrs. Michaela Küchler, pointed out that It is overwhelming to celebrate the German Unity Day in India. She also added that the Indian-German relationship has developed wonderfully over the years. One very important factor that makes the partnership strong is the connection between the Indians and Germans in all strata of life.
