Under the theme "Induct. Inspire. Innovate.," Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science welcomed its incoming postgraduate students with a Freshers' Induction Programme at the Andromeda Lecture Theatre. The morning began with the Achievers Throwback, a look back at the institution's milestones, before Student Chaplain Rev. Sunu Baby Koshy offered the opening Prayer. The HITS Students Choir followed with the Thamizh Thai Vazhthu and the Hindustan Anthem, and a short film on the Hindustan Group of Institutions introduced the new batch to the wider academic community they were joining. Dean of Academics Dr. C. Kezi Selva Vijila then delivered the Welcome Address, formally opening the programme to its incoming students.
The addresses that followed drew on decades of experience across public service, academia, and industry. Advisor Dr. M. Rajaram, IAS (Retd.), delivered the Felicitation Address, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Vikas Misra followed with a Special Address to the gathering. Dr. R. Asokan, Professor and Dean of the School of Aeronautical Sciences, introduced Guest of Honour Mr. Mahesh V, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at NCR Atleos, who shared his perspective with the freshers. The Chief Guest, Dr. V.K. Subburaj, IAS (Retd.), former Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, was introduced by Dr. S. Ganesan, Dean of SBAS and Dean of Faculty Affairs (i/c), before delivering the Chief Guest Address that anchored the morning. Dr. Marcelin Pushpa, Head of SLiCA and Dean of Student Welfare Services, offered the Vote of Thanks, and the ceremony closed with the National Anthem, led once more by the HITS Students Choir.
