Founder’S Memorial Day 2020

The 14th Founder’s Memorial Day was observed on 14 February 2019 at Good Shepherd Hall. The event recounted the philanthropic services of Dr. K.C.G. Verghese, Founder-Chairman, Hindustan Group of Institutions; and paid homage to the great man. Dr.Pon Ramalingam, Registrar welcomed the gathering for the solemn occasion. Dr. K. P. Isaac, Vice Chancellor drew reminiscences of the Late Dr. K.C.G. Verghese and entreated everyone to emulate his noble vision, “To Make Every Man a Success and No Man a Failure.” The event observed HITS Choir perform the opening hymn as tributes were paid to the dearly loved Founder-Chairman.

The Founder’s Memorial Day was concurrently observed in grandeur at KCG College of Technology. The day was marked with the inauguration of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium with indoor sports facilities; and offering Rs 20 lakhs for constructing a separate block with smart classrooms in Government School, Kelambakkam under the aegis of Dr. KCG Verghese Charitable Trust. The solemn occasion witnessed the presence of Dr Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson; Dr.Anand Jacob Verghese, Director and CEO; Dr Annie Jacob, Director, KCG College of Technology; Dr Aby Sam, Director, HITS; Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, HITS; Dr Susan Marthandan, Director, Hindustan College of Arts and Science; Principals, Deans, Heads, faculty and students from all units of Hindustan Group of Institution.Mr. A. John Louis IAS, District Collector Chengalpattu; Mr. JCD Prabhakar, Ex-MLA Villivakkam Constituency; and Rev. Dr S Xavier Alphonse, Director Indian Centre for Research and Development of Community Education were the special invitees.
