The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted Faculty Development Program on AWS certified Cloud Practitioner course on 12 December 2022. During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. J. Thangakumar, Head-CSE delivered the welcome address followed by a special address by Dr. Angelina Geetha, Dean E & T, HITS. She mentioned about the importance of training the faculty with industry oriented courses, so that it could be rendered to the students. She also stressed that such training programs will enable the faculty to upgrade their skills and also impart to the students in order to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Kumara Guru, Senior Trainer, ICT Academy. He stressed on the importance of acquiring hands on learning experience of the latest technologies such as AWS Cloud Practitioner. The guest was felicitated and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Linda Joseph, Associate Professor, CSE Department, HITS.
The FDP was conducted for a period of five days from 12 December to 16 December. The FDP was attended by 15 in-house faculties and 20 external faculties from other institutions in and around Chennai. Hands on sessions were delivered by the trainer and the faculty were able to get AWS badges and AWS certificates. It was an interactive session and faculty members were fully benefited.
