Eluminate’24, a two days national level technical symposium was organized by the Department of computer science and engineering from 26-27 April. However, the event was a great success in providing a copious opportunity for the students to showcase their technical skills. In addition, the event also served as a platform to develop interpersonal and leadership skills of the students. Dr. Thangakumar J, HOD (CSE) welcomed the gathering. The presidential address was given by Dr. S N Sridhara at the inaugural ceremony. The event geared up with a grand inaugural ceremony presided by the Chief Guest, Mr. Raju Subramanian, CEO, CareCentra Chennai and Ms Ragini Nagarajan, Guest of Honour from Strategic Business HR partner, Negits Solutions. During their address, they appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and staff members for making this event happen in spite of the pandemic condition.
12 events were organized in Eluminate’24 and the highlight of it being conducted solely by the student volunteers. The participants were evaluated by a panel of expert members and top two winners were awarded with cash awards. Out of 298 registrations, 248 were present. 206 participants from Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science and 42 from other colleges and universities such asst Joseph/ Kongunadu/ Prince Sri Venkateshwara / SRM /Saveetha / Raja Lakshmi / KCG / VIT / SJB / SNS were attended the event. The list are events are Tech talkies, Sparkathon, Pixel Paradox, fusion chemist, capture the flag, bits skip, Melody Matrix, Digital Design, Code rewind, Cyber crypt quest and Gamer Convention. The event was sponsored by Code Builders as a Knowledge Partner.
Mr Prakash Velayudham, CEO and Founder of Code builders also was present as a Jury member for Digital design and Sparathon event.
The symposium concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony on 27th April 2024 after the series conduct of events with the presence of Dr Angelina Geetha, Dean E&T. During the presidential address, she insisted the importance of extracurricular activities and teamwork among the students. Awards for the winning students were presented by the Dr Angelina Geetha, Dean E&T, Dr.Thangakumar J, HOD, CSE, student’s coordinators were also present during the event.
