DAY 2 – 33RD INTER UNIVERSITY SOUTH ZONE YOUTH FESTIVAL AT HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE
It was yet another day of explosive performances by talented youngsters from 32 universities across the nation at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science. The audiences were spell bound and awe struck by the professionalism, creativity and fabulous exhibition of talents galore. More than 15 events were held and it was not exhaustive it was full packed entertainment.
Dr. Ramachandran, Vice Chancellor, HITS appreciated the Classical Dance Performance he said ”An excellent performance! Extraordinary talented students! A Classical performance of classical dance. I am amazed and astounded to witness all the events.”
Dr. S.K.Sharma, AIU Representative and Observer , commented that “HITS has organised the event very nicely more than what we expected. Teachers and students are unparalleled in organizing the event. The 33rd Inter University South Zone Youth Festival cultural events reflect the harmonious existence of different cultural groups of our country in spite of language barrier we tend to face. Such diverse cultural performances serve to connect us as one single nation.”
Soul Stirring Solo Performance: light vocal solo- Indian & classical (Hindustani & Carnatic). 16 Participants gave soulful performances and it reached the heavenly horizons and it was divinely indeed!
QUIZ A renowned quiz master Dr. Hasan Sheikh, Retd. Scientist, IGCAR, Kalpakkam, electrified the quiz competition and conducted it in a stupendous manner. The competition commenced with the first round- written test with 51 participants from 17 universities. After a stiff competition and answering challenging questions ranging from sports to current affairs participants had a splendid time. 13 teams made to semi-finals and 6 to the finals.
