Beatitudo'22

More than 600 residents of Jupiter, Galaxy, Bethany and Susan hostels of HITS celebrated their year-long happiness at Beatitudo'22 (Hostel Day) on 6 May 2022. This year's hostel day was special for many reasons. After two years of Covid'19, the hostel day celebrations had restarted.

Ms. Gauri, Senior Scientist of Indira Gandhi Atomic Research Centre (IGCAR), Kalpakkam and an alumuna of ECE department of HITS (Batch 1993) was the chief guest. Chief Warden & Head - Student Affairs Dr. A. Prabaharan welcomed the gathering. Director (Research), Dr. K. Nandakumar offered felicitations. Warden Dr.Geethadevi C.E.; Assistant Warden Dr.RhytheemaDuloo; Hostel Manager, Mr. Anantharaman, staff and residents participated in the celebrations.

In her hostel day address, Ms. Gauri said, "I see a lot of positive changes in the HITS. Residents should utilize this wonderful infrastructure and go up in life. Research is the lifeline of world development. Students should use the library, lab and other facilities to develop their personalities".

The Chief Guest later presented prizes and certificates to the winners of several sports and cultural events organised on the occasion of Beatitudo'22. A colourful cultural presentation was the highlight of the event.

Mr. Calvin Edgar, a resident of Jupiter hostel proposed a vote of thanks.Ms. Prathyuksha Nair, a resident of Bethany hostel compeered the event.
