The Alumni Reunion of B. Arch. Class of 2001 was organized on 20 November 2021. Around 20 alumni visited HITS, and were overwhelmed to meet their mentors and friends. Dr. Pon. Ramalingam, Registrar delivered the Welcome Speech. He narrated the evolution of HITS in varied aspects since 20 years. Eventually, he encouraged the alumni to contribute to Alma mater in whatever way possible.
Alumni were extremely delighted to visit their alma mater after 20 years. They introduced themselves one by one. Most of them were entrepreneurs with vast experience in the design, and Infrastructure building. Dr. Sheeba Chander, Dean, Spade, presented a ppt on SPADE and HITS. She explained about the development of infrastructure facilities of HITS, the research facilities, the CSR activities done by Dr. KCG Verghese Foundation, the Pandora of Design & Architecture courses and other allied courses offered under SPADE. She gave them an insight on how to contribute in different ways by means of Time, Talent & Treasure to HITS.
Special address was given by Ar. Verges Oommen, Distinguished Visiting Faculty, HITS. He welcomed the gathering to their alma mater. He narrated the story behind Parabola area where students conduct many events. Ar. J. Sudhakaran, HoD, SPADE delivered the Vote of thanks. Invited the alumni to visit the campus again. He extended his appreciation to the event coordinator, Ms. Pragatha, Dy. Reg. (Alumni Coordinator), and the faculty members of SPADE, Ar. Devisree, Ar. Kalyan, Ar. Vinod, who initiated the alumni get together. Alumni visited their class rooms and Design Studios and took photographs. The memorable meet concluded with alumni being taken on a campus tour by a canter bus.
