The Office of Student Affairs organized Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsavto commemorate the commencement of 75th Year of Independence celebration on 12 Mar. 2021. The august occasion started with a Cycle Rally from Founder’ Block and moved around the campus creating awareness among the students and staff about the sacrifices of our forefathers in achieving freedom.
Dr. S.N.Sridhara, Vice Chancellor presided over the function. In his address, Dr. S.N.Sridharasaid, “Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography, My Experiments with Truth is a bible for all of us to know the situation in the country before independence.” He elaborated the then conditions of people–without food, water, sanitation, clothes etc. and drew out a comparison of present situation whereinwe have eliminated much of poverty and moving towards prosperity.Dr. R.W.Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor; and Head–Student Affairs spoke on the occasion. Dr. R.W.Alexander Jesudasanindicated that we may have interest in platinum jewellery, but we must have topmost interest in India’s platinum jubilee of independence. Ms. Mawa Chauhan, 3rd Year, B.Tech. IT; and Ms. Afra Banan, 2nd Year, B.Tech. IT Cyber Securityspoke on "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Ms. Jahnavi T., 3rd Year, B.Tech. CSE proposed the vote of thanks.
