The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted the value added training programme of the Centre of Excellence on AWS certified Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft Power Bi Data analyst.The inauguration of the prograame was held on 10 October 2022. The keynote address was deliveredby Mr. G. Venkatesh, Head- Training and Development, ICT Academy. He explained the importance of bridging the gap between industry and academia.
The inauguration of the value-added courses kickstarted with a welcome address by Dr. J. Thangakumar, Head-CSE followed by a special address by Ms. Kavitha Vijayaraghavan, Head- Training & Placement, HITS. She mentioned the importance of value-added courses in the placements drives. The inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. S. N Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, HITS. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sasi Kala, Manager, Training Department, HITS.
AWS (Cloud Practitioner) and Microsoft Power BICertification courses were conducted by from the 10thof October to the 21stof October 2022. There was a total of 200 participants in the workshop split into 4 batches. Each batch consistedof 50 students each. The course content was delivered by trained instructors from ICT academy: Mr. Senthil M, Senior Technical Trainer – Training and Development ICT Academy focussedon Microsoft Power BI batches while the AWS (Cloud Practitioner) batches were helmed by Mr. Srinivasan T, Senior Technical Trainer, Sidiq Sherief, Senior Technical Trainer, Kumara Guru, Senior Technical Trainer – Training and Development ICT Academy.
After the completion of the value-added courses, the students took up the assessments.All the 200 students were graded based on their performance. Participation certificates and the grade certificates were issued to the students. ASW Cloud Practitioner Digital batches were also issued to the students.
