Ap Telangana Alumni Chapter Meet

HITSAA organised“AP Telangana Alumni Chapter (APTAC)Meet” on 25 March 2022 at 6 p.m. in Hotel Aditya Park Hotel, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.The Office Bearers of APTAC, Dr. Vijay Karna ‘90, Chap. President; Mr. Ramana Prasad ‘92, Treasurer; Mr. Narayan Choudhary ‘2012, Secretary; and Mr. B. N. Kamal ‘92, President, HITSAA invited the alumni guests.A total of 45 alumni participated in the meet. Some of them couldn’t make it as they were working from home (away from Hyderabad).

Dr. Vijay Karna delivered the welcome speech, and thanked the HITS Management and HITSAA for the initiative taken. He encouraged the alumni to meet online every 15 days to discuss on various contributions and action plans of the chapter. Floral tributes were paid to the Founder-Chairperson, the Late Dr. KCG Verghese as mark of veneration. Alumni were overwhelmed to receive message from the Chancellor Ma’am, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Verghese.Mr. Kamal gave a special speech on the importance of networking and being connected for a win-win situation. He later presented the activities of Alumni Office, and explained the chapter agenda to all.

Dr. R. Asokan, HoD- Aero presented the strengths and the evolution of HITS to Alumni who haven’t been to the campus for almost over 10 -15 yrs. now.

Alumni Interactions:

Ms. Atulya Ashokan,(AERO-2012) Programme Manager, Lochhead Martin was excited to meet her mentors and the HoD after a decade. She was thankfulto HITS for what she is now, and also shared few funny moments with the audience.

Mr. Srinivas (ECE-1991) from the Software field was overwhelmed to talk about his college days—which were the best days of his life with HCE.

Mr. Ashish(AERO-2016), Entrepreneur; and Mr. Samuel S Pal (AERO-2016), Movie Director were delighted to join the meet at Hyderabad.

Mr. Murali Krishna (MECH 1991) Project Manager, Tech Mahindra; Mr. Ramana Prasad (MECH 1992); Mr. Narayan (AERO 2012), shared his experiencesat HITS.

Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor of HITS delivered the key note speech and notified the alumni about the CODE initiative and asked them to utilize the opportunity and spread the word. He applauded the efforts of the office bearers and insisted that the networking between alumni and alma mater is essential for bigger achievements.

Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, HITS delivered a special address to the audience and threw light on the legacy of the Founder. He requested the cooperation of senior alumni to continue the legacy of HGI in the education field.

The office bearers presented the mementoes to the VC, the Director (AV), HoD-AERO, the President of HITSAA, and other alumni guests. On behalf of HITS, mementoes were presented to the office bearers and senior alumni guests.

MS. Pragatha VS, Coordinator of HITSAA, delivered the vote of thanks which was followed by the group photo session and dinner. The event featured in over 10 different AP & Telangana Newspapers by the efforts of Mr. Ramana Prasad (MECH 1992).
