Alumni Talk Series 2022 – My Lessons To The Future Leaders By Mr. James Rajan
HITS Alumni Association in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering organised an Alumni Talk titled “My Lessons to the Future Leaders” on 5 Aug 2022. Mr. James Rajan M.D., Wartsila, Sri Lanka and Director – Operations, Wartsila, India was the resource person. Mr.James presented a personal case study of how HITS helped him to be an independent and successful adult. He stated that he soared high in his career from a Warranty Engineer to the Managing Director in Wartsila. He also provided tips to the students to build their leadership skills and also be a team player.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. G. Ilavazhagan, Director, Office of International Affairs. In his address Dr.Ilavazhagan highlighted the importance of Alumni Success stories that will motivate the students. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. R. W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Vijaya Balan, Head,Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Ms. Pragatha V S, Deputy Registrar, HITSAA. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Vijaya Balan. Head, Department of Mechanical Sciences.
