Winners of All India Vayu Sena Cup 2018

All India Vayu Sainik Camp 2018 (AIVSC 2018), a highly esteemed National level Competition for the Air Wing cadets of 16 Directorates of NCC across the Country was held at Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 24.10.2018 to 04.11.2018.

AIVSC 2018 had test of talents in Microlite Flying, Aero Modelling, Drill, 0.22 Rifle firing, Skeet shooting and Health & Hygiene competitions. Flying Officer Mr. Giri Rangarajan, HITS was assigned as the Contingent Commander for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands Directorate (Air Wing NCC). A well-trained 42 cadets under headship of Mr. Giri, represented HITS in AIVSC 2018. Two cadets named, F/C Greesh Pranav, 2nd Mechatronics; and F/C Vaishnav V, 2nd CSE of HITS participated in the Drill Competitions and played a major role in accumulating the overall points for the Directorate.

HITS bagged the below three notable awards.
1. Overall Champions - Winner Trophy- All India Vayu Sena Cup 2018.
2. Gold - Best Directorate in Flying.
3. Gold - Best Directorate in Aero Modelling - Gold

Mr. Giri Rangarajan was awarded with the All India Vayu Sainik 2018 Winners Shield with promotion as Flight Lieutenant by the Director of TN, P and AN Dte Madras Group B.
