Mr. K. Gnanasekaran, NSS Coordinator was awarded for the contribution towards Rotaract movement in Preconference (MATRAM) conducted by Rotary international district 3232 on 15 Feb 2019.
Rtr. Risivats, Rotaract Club of HITS (RCHU) and Rtr. Vempati Bala Tatwick were awarded "Efficient Sportsman Award" and “Budding CEO Award" in Namma Year Heroes conducted by Rotary International District 3232 on 14 Feb 2019.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
NSS unit of HITS in association with Rotary Club of Chennai Capital (RCCC) organized Blood Donation Camp on 14 Feb 2019 in view of Founder's Memorial Day. Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Varghese, Chancellor, HITS was the Chief Guest; and Rtn. Apoorva J Modi, Secretary, RCCC was the Guest of Honour. Madras Voluntary Blood Bank coordinated with Adayar Cancer Institute, Royapettah Govt. Hospital and Indian Red Cross for organizing the blood banks. A total of 583 units of blood were collected with active participation of students and staff members.
