The Republic Day celebration was conducted on 26 January 2022 and in parallel got broadcasted through MS Teams. Prestigious Indian Flag got unfurled by the ViceChancellor, Dr. S. N. Sridhara. Capt. Mahesh Gerald, Area Technical Officer, Head Quarters, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area; and the distinguished alumnus of HITS presided over the event as the Chief Guest and gave a thought-provoking Republic Day Message. Recorded live shows of culture by the NCC cadets of all three wings got aired through MS Teams.Chief Guest Capt. Mahesh Gerald presented a memento to his alma mater, HITS; and later interacted with the department heads, followed by a Wind Shield tour of Campus facilities.
