Nss Camp

The Special NSS, HITS camp was held between 18 and 24 July, 2022 at Sirudavoor Village, Thiruporur. Dr.S.N.Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, HITS inaugurated the camp along with Dr. Prabhakaran, Head (Student Affairs). A total of 48 students along with 4 faculty members attended the camp. The NSS team carried out the following activities at the campsite:

Village survey
Social issues addressed.
Awareness on cleanliness.
Awareness on traffic regulations.
Painting of Public offices and School Buildings in the village.
Cleaning the building Schools.
Competitions for villagers to create awareness on Swachh Bharath Mission and the Swachh pledge was taken along with the people of Sirudavoor, Amoor, Manambathy, Agaram, and Thiruporur villages.
Dental camp in association with Chettinad Health City.
Veterinary Camp in association with the local Government Hospital.
Eye Camp in association with Sankara Nethralaya, Pammal.
Donations of essential items for the school (Govt. High School, Sirudavoor).
