The International Book of Records has recognized Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science as Record Holder for "HIGHEST NUMBER OF ONLINE LESSONS COMPLETED"as on 30 Nov. 2020. Hindustan has been proactive in taking measures during the pandemic, ensuring the learning is steady and uninterrupted. Online classes on MS Teams begun in early March as soon as the lockdown came into force. At Hindustan, Students and Faculty Members are constantly encouraged to pursue massive open online courses (MOOCs) to keep themselves aware of the current trends and stay upgraded to match the industry requirements. During the pandemic, they were given free coupons to access over thousands of courses and get certified by global Universities of repute. As many as 4359 participants completed 2,20,745Online lessons under the high-spirited guidance of Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science.We acknowledge the efforts taken by Dr. N. Vasudevan, Dean-E&T and Dr. T.Sudalaimuthu, Associate Professor, CSE &Coordinator, IQAC towards this remarkable accomplishment by taking the institution to a greater height in Online Teaching.Earlier in June 2020, Hindustan was awarded with QS E Learning Excellence for Academic Digitisation (LEAD) Certification by QS iGuage team with a view to recognising institutions that are ensuring preparedness of Indian Higher Education for the Digital Age.
