Hindustan East Asia Alumni Chapter – Malaysia Sub Chapter Inaugural Meet

The Inaugural meet of HEAAC – Malaysia Sub Chapter was a held on 11 Feb 2023 at Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar Solomon was the Chief Guest for the event. The Meet commenced with the invocation song and HITS anthem followed by the Floral Tribute to the Founder Chairman Late Dr. K. C. G. Verghese.

The keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar Solomon. He congratulated the HEAAC Team and HITSAA and appreciated the efforts taken by Mr. Robert, his team and Mr. Guldip for establishing the Malaysia Sub Chapter. The Professor emphasized on Networking and Alumni Relations, the importance of Alumni in shaping the careers of budding engineers on campus and also the young alumni. He invited the alumni to campus to visualize the recent developments in infrastructure and also relive their fond memories about HITS. He urged the alumni to contribute generously towards the construction of the “Venus Academic Block” on campus. He congratulated and appreciated the HEAAC President for his perseverance and dedication in organizing the event.

The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Dorasamy K. (Batch’74). Ms. Premila Josephine Motivational Speaker & Trainer, HEAAC Vice President, addressed the audience on the topic "Journey of HEAAC". Ms. Deepa lakshmi briefed on the future plans of the Chapter to the audience.

Mr. Robert Borshin introduced the Office Bearers of HEAAC viz., Mr. Guldip Singh, President, Malaysia Sub Chapter, Ms. Premila Josephine, Vice President – HEAAC, Mr. Senthil Kumar, Secretary – HEAAC, Ms. Deepa lakshmi R, Joint Secretary, Mr. Johny Nixon, Treasurer – HEAAC, Ms. Mitu Singh, Advisor – HEAAC and Mr. Agasthya R, Member, Planning Team.

Senior Alumni like Mr. Thiaga, Mr. Chandra, and others shared their memories at HETC (old HIET). Furthermore, there was a discussion on the road map of the chapter. The event ended with the group photo session and vote of thanks. This was followed by the networking session among alumni and dinner.
