Focus and Fine Tune The Mind | Event Date: Tuesday, 19th, October 2021

The Office of Student Affairs in association with the Headway Academy initiated the "Learn from Leaders Lecture Series". The inaugural lecture on "Focus and Fine Tune The Mind". was delivered by Thiru. Raja Krishnamoorthy, an inspirational speaker of international repute, leadership coach, OD consultant, film director, act and script writer on 19 October 2021.

The Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan welcomed the gathering. He said that it is a privilege for the students and staff to listen to such an experienced leadership coach and film personality. Ms. Ragavi Senthil Kumar, Founder of the Headway Academy and an alumna of HITS in her special address said, "I owe my growth to this institution which gave me everything. I am here on stage because of the support and love given by Hindustan. This level of support to students can be rarely seen in other institutions".

The Vice Chancellor Dr. S. N. Sridhara in his presidential address said, "HITS is going to organise such lectures in the coming days regularly to motivate the students and staff. Leaders like Raja Krishnamoorthy can change social situations especially in academia. His experience and education can help us to overcome life challenges. Students must utilise these opportunities to develop themselves".

Nearly for two hours, speaker Thiru. Raja Krishnamoorthy held the 500 students and staff in complete awe. He spoke at length about the challenges faced by the current society. He wanted the younger generation to look back at the good traditions of Indian society. The age-old traditions of one of the oldest civilizations of the world can help us to overcome the problems posed by contemporary societies. He advised the students to follow 3 Ds—Discipline, Devotion and Determination. If these three principles are followed, then one can avoid problems at ease. He motivated the younger generation to focus and fine tune the mind!
