The Rotary Club of Chennai Hindustan (RCCH) celebrated its charter installation ceremony at the Presidency Club, Chennai on 10 June 2023. The event was organized by the Rotary Club of Chennai Capital (RCCC). Rtn. Dr. N. Nandakumar, the District Governor of Rotary District 3232 and Rtn. I.Z.A.K. Nazar, District Councillor were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively. The occasion was graced by Rtn. Ashok Verghese, Pro Chancellor of HITS, Rtn. Dr. C.M. Kishore, President of RCCC, and RCCC Board members.
During the ceremony, Rtn. Dr. Pon Ramalingam was Honored as the Charter President of RCCH. He received the charter certificate and the gavel, symbolizing his leadership and authority, from the District Governor and other District officials. Along with him, a total of 22 charter members were installed during the ceremony. These individuals, who were among the founding members of RCCH, played a crucial role in establishing the club. As charter members, they received the Rotary kit which includes informational materials, guidelines, and Rotary insignia, which help members understand and represent Rotary's values and mission. With the establishment of RCCH, a new family of Rotary has been formed, further expanding the network of service-oriented individuals in the Chennai area.
