Razzle Dazzle 7.0 showcased the best designs of the Graduating Batch of 2021 from B.Sc. Fashion Design of Hindustan Institute of Science and Technology and B.Tech. Fashion Technology of KCG College of Technology. The event was grandly convened on 24 September, Friday 5 PM at Hilton Hotel, Chennai under the guidance and coordination of Stylist & Choreographer Ms. Prajanya Anand with the support of leading professional models and fashion experts. The fashion show kickstarted with a welcome note by Dr. Afrose Farid, Head, Dept. of Fashion, Design and Artsand was taken forward by the lively emcee pair of Ms. Santana and Dr. Sonu Joseph, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Languages.
The admirable Guests of Honour for the evening included father-daughter duo, Music composer Mr. Santhosh Narayanan and the viral ‘Enjoy Enjamee’ famed Ms. Dhee. The fashion show also marked the onset of the birthday celebration of Dr. Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson, HGI graced by the presence of distinguished members of the Management including Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Director & CEO, HITS; Dr. Annie Jacob, Director, KCG; Dr. Ashok G. Verghese, Director, HGI; Dr. Aby Sam Director, HGI; Dr. S.N. Sridhara Vice Chancellor, HITS; Dr. R.W. Alexander Jesudasan, Pro Vice Chancellor, HITS; Dr.Anita, Dean Students Affairs, KCG College and other staff and faculty members from the department of Fashion, Design and Arts at HITS and Fashion Technology at KCG College.
Razzle Dazzle 7.0 included individual collections ranging from avantgarde, street wear to eco-dyed and heritage Indian textiles with in depth exploration of colours, silhouettes and surface design techniques despite the limitations of the pandemic and lockdown. Based on the above parameters, Ms. Devikripa was awarded the ‘Best Designer Award’ followed by Ms. Gousia Khan and Ms. Elizabeth Jacob in second and third places. The event winded up with a lovely cake cutting ceremony and dinner party following a vote of thanks by Dr. Bhanu Rekha, Head of Fashion Technology Department, KCG College of Technology.
