M.Tech. Automobile Engineering
- M.Tech. Automobile Engineering
About the Course
The Automobile Engineering course caters to train the students to Design, Develop, Manufacture, Simulate, and Maintenance of Vehicles and Automobile Systems and to enable the engineers explore new areas and create new avenues in the fields of R&D and to focus on developing the talent of the Automobile Engineer in new technologies and business management skills. They develop Automobile Systems through simulation softwares and validate with laboratory test results. The softwares include MATLAB SIMULINK, STAR CCM, ANSYS, LAB VIEW, C and C++. They have to design and develop according to the postulations of regulation and specified standards, and have to demonstrate the prototype for optimize power, best fuel economy and less emission addressing the safety.
The demand for Automobile Engineering is growing with the expansion of Automotive Industries and increasing demand for vehicle as well as power. With increasing concern for pollution and fuel efficiency, these engineers also set standard of qualities such as making the vehicle fuel efficient, reduction in pollution, biodiesel, etc. and using various types of dynamometer and pollution measuring and wheel aligning instruments which are incorporated in our laboratory. There is a need to cater academia to support the above demand.
- The course becomes more focused and increases the flexibility to concentrate on Automobile Engineering subjects where students understand the depth of principles, technology, advanced and innovation involved in engine operations with wide exposure to practical experience in laboratories and internship training.
- At the end of the final year of this course, the students will become experts in the Automobile Engineering subjects and also able to apply some innovative ideas for completing projects individually as per the curriculum.
- Students after completing the course duration successfully get well placed in some of the top automobile industries in India.
- Mahindra and Mahindra
- Ashok Leyland
- TVS motors
- Renault Nissan
