The Centre will teach and research on the best practices in Product Life Cycle Management through virtual product design, virtual product testing, virtual product manufacturing and virtual collaboration for product development. Also, prototypes of the product will be manufactured so that the technology, can be transferred to the Industries. This will include Reverse Engineering Process also.
Product Lifecycle Management is a continuous process that enables an enterprise to effectively and efficiently innovate and manage its products and related services throughout the entire business lifecycle, from initial conception to production, maintenance and recycling or disposal.
The simulation facility will deliver higher quality results in a timely and cost efficient manner. The simulation software leverages the capacity of innovation for companies of all sizes and in all industries by delivering breakthrough productivity design solutions powered by a highly collaborative platform. The software enables the full spectrum of next generation collaborative virtual design including systems engineering, shape design, mechanical and equipment engineering, and company knowledge reuse. 3D printers produce physical prototypes quickly, easily, and inexpensively from computer-aided design (CAD) and other digital data.
Real-Time 3D Visual Simulation techniques are used to make better decisions in a variety of creative ways that solves unique issues and requirements in Defence, Aerospace, Avionics, Urban Planning and Air Traffic Control and Training applications.
