About HITS
Hindustan College of Engineering, started in the year 1985, was conferred the "University Status" by University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, Under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 from the academic year 2008-09 and under the name HITS (Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science).Today, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is one of the most sought after engineering Institutions in Tamil Nadu, reputed for its highly qualified and experienced faculty and excellent infrastructural facilities for curricular and extracurricular activities, the University has maintained an enviable academic excellence right from its inception.
About the Department
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1992. Electrical and Electronics Engineering department offers B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, M.Tech in EEE with specialization in (i) Smart Grid and Electric Vehicle (ii) IOT and Embedded System, and PhD programs. The department regularly organizes activities and events to enhance the quality of education and upgrade the skills of faculty and students. The department faculty has rich experience in teaching, industry and research. The department has wide publications in indexed International journals and conferences.
About the Conference
The conference provides engineers and academia with the opportunity to share experiences in recent development, current practices and future trends in Smart Grid and Electric Vehicle. This event will feature a unique platform for discussing issues and developments in electrical power, power electronics, E- Vehicle and its associated engineering fields. It is also a networking opportunity for establishing international relationships, the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst the many delegates. SGEV program will feature keynotes, plenary session and technical paper presentations.
